My Journey

Welcome friend,

When I'm not working, you might find me sitting in my hammock, hot tub or chair in the sun - reading, listening to music or nature around me or enjoying a good conversation by the fire with my family or friends (and our mini golden doodle)—always taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of life here in Chilliwack and the Lower Mainland.  I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counselling from Fresno Pacific University, Fresno, CA.

My Heart

Taking the first step to find a counsellor can be overwhelming. I’m honoured that you have considered me to be a part of your journey. I believe that the relationship between you and your counsellor is sacred, and I’m committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for you to reconnect with your inner self.

I see you for who you truly are—full of strength, resilience, and value, no matter your background or the challenges you face. In our time together, my hope is that you will lean into your unique strengths and rediscover the courage to move forward with curiosity, creativity, and a little bit of play.

My Methods

Drawing on methods like Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative approaches, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, I’m here to help you cut through the noise and find clarity.

Who I Serve

I support clients with concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges to grief, loss, and life transitions.

My Approach

My approach is centered on understanding your unique goals and experiences.  I integrate various therapy approaches in a way that follows you uniquely; focusing on your biosocial and emotional strengths and areas of growth.  As I listen deeply to how you see yourself and the world, we get curious together finding metaphors, ideas, and reframes that build resilience and new strength in the areas you want to focus on.

My work is also informed by parts work (IFS) and a somatic understanding of how our bodies and nervous systems shape our experiences. We focus on emotional regulation, expanding your window of tolerance, and strengthening healthy communication.

We explore together; gently connecting with different aspects of yourself—your thoughts, emotions, and inner experiences—with curiosity and compassion.  Sometimes yes, this can mean tears and feeling the frustrations, but it can also include laughter, silliness, heartfelt conversation with a lot of focus on your unique amazing self!
